How to Exhibit History

Technical colloquium revealing the theme of IDENTITY in the culture of Czechoslovakia and its nations, historical events, art and personalities from the perspective of exhibitors and interprets.
Authors of exhibition projects will introduce their projects, which have become examples of historic, though often controversial, phenomena, authors and institutions:
Dream and Reality, Unwanted Heritage, Paneland, Brno Art Open — Sculptures in the streets with the theme of University ad. We examine, how to build or revise historical narratives for exhibition purposes and how to concisely convey it through visual culture. We ask about common pitfalls and about individual or local particularities of the discussed curatorial and historical projects.
